Bowcliffe Hall Wedding – Lauren & John
BOWCLIFFE HALL WEDDING –
LAUREN & JOHN
BOWCLIFFE HALL WEDDING
The one with Gryff… and Lauren & John, of course. This Bowcliffe Hall wedding was certainly one of the highlights of my year. Absolutely nothing to do with that beautiful dog.
The beautiful Bowcliffe Hall is situated four miles south of Wetherby, within easy reach of York and Leeds. Beyond the grand entrance gates is a sweeping driveway that leads to an elegant Georgian country house set in 38 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds.
As well as a grand ballroom, the venue’s Drivers’ Club and Blackburn Wing offer more intimate settings. The venue is situated in an easy-to-reach location, just off the A1(m) meaning guests from all over the country can attend.
The ground are gorgeous, and perfectly kept, making for beautiful wedding photos. It makes my job as a Bowcliffe Hall wedding photographer very easy.

If you are looking for a unique, elegant setting for your wedding day look no further than the Dalton Old Pump House. With its Victorian industrial architecture and modern glam styling, the stunning listed building is sure to make your special day unforgettable.
Built by the accomplished engineer Thomas Hawksley between 1873 and 1879, this grade II listed building was left vacant since World War II. Upon arrival, guests will be greeted by the impressive steps leading to the Victorian-style Pump Room – perfect for pre-wedding drinks or an intimate ceremony.
For receptions and evening entertainment, step inside the glamorous Engine Room adorned with sparkling chandeliers, organic floral decoration and lavish foliage – transforming any wedding into a dreamy fairytale!
“We loved that there is a different room/location for each part of the day so guests can move around and the venue” – Lauren & John
“AS SOON AS WE ARRIVED AT BOWCLIFFE HALL WE BOTH GOT THE ‘FEELING’ AND FELL IN LOVE IMMEDIATELY. THE VENUE IS JUST COMPLETELY GORGEOUS!”
It was a slightly rainy day, which luckily didn’t put a dampener on moods. While the guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, the couple mingled and laughed with their friends. But we managed to get out in between the showers to make use of the gorgeous grounds for photos.
Gryff was the star of the show though. That boy can play fetch all day long. He certainly gave the autofocus on my cameras a good workout.
The fact that each part of the day happens in a different part of the venue was a real clincher for Lauren & John. And it really does make a difference. No waiting around for staff to turn the room around. And it keeps each part of the wedding day feeling fresh.
