Colleen & Marcus wanted their Howard Court Wedding to have a laid back festival vibe. The outdoor spaces of Howard Court certainly made this the perfect choice of wedding venue for them.

Situated in rural North Yorkshire with stunning views of the Cleveland Hills and Roseberry Topping, the rustic Howard Court was definitely one of my favourite new wedding venues that I visited in 2022.

Within easy reach of both York and Leeds, Howard Court can accommodate up to 100 guests for your marriage ceremony and wedding reception, and up to 150 guests for your evening reception. Their ‘blank canvas’ approach means couples can create truly unique and personalised weddings.

The barn itself is beautiful, but the highlight of Howard Court for me is the courtyard area, with its festoon lights. And, it can still be used in the colder months, thanks to the cosy outdoor heaters. Colleen & Marcus made full use of the courtyard as they danced away with their band in full swing.

Colleen and Marcus got married at Howard Court, which is a barn in Great Ayton, North Yorkshire with stunning grounds. It was the most beautiful festival-styled wedding and the sun shone all day long! The ceremony was an intimate affair in a stunning chapel. During the ceremony, they read their own vows. It was a real tear-jerker.

Howard Court is perfect for couples who want a chilled-out wedding, and is one of the best places to get married in North Yorkshire. The food trucks really added to the laid-back atmosphere. The venue offers an amazing blank canvas for a wedding – and there are so many beautiful spots that are perfect for photos. The Courtyard area is perhaps the highlight for me, providing the perfect location to party on a summer evening.
