Weddings at The Priests House & Old Chapel
The Priests House & Old Chapel is the perfect spot for an intimate wedding. Nestled in the shadow of the impressive ruins of Barden Tower, a Grade 1 listed building with views of the valley, this is a unique North Yorkshire wedding venue.
If you're looking for a wedding venue steeped in history and charm then this could be the perfect choice for you. The House retains a number its original features like the dark oak beamed ceilings, paned windows, and real log fires. The Chapel has been recently renovated with its beautiful large windows, chandeliers, and charming entrance. As soon as you set foot inside you feel the warm and romantic atmosphere that this wedding venue has.
Sally & Danny's Intimate Wedding
Sally & Danny were meant to get married in February, the winter scene over the Priests House would make for a very romantic backdrop. However, due to restrictions, they got married in front of their close family and friends in April. The weather played its part - for the best, as the reception was held under a gazebo outside. The firepit provided by the lovely folk at The Priests House came into its own and allowed the celebrations to last into the early evening
Emotions were high, with tears and smiles all around. You could feel the relief as the happy couple were finally able to tie the knot. The restrictions didn't take much away from the day. Small weddings feel more relaxed, as they are not as rushed. They almost give the couple more time to enjoy their big day, and get some great photographs.
