ELLIE & ROB – LODGE FARM WEDDINGS
LODGE FARM WEDDING
Nestled in the peaceful countryside of North Yorkshire, Lodge Farm Weddings is a gem for couples dreaming of a laid-back countryside celebration. As a wedding photographer, I love how this venue blends rustic charm with natural beauty, creating a relaxed and intimate atmosphere that feels miles away from the rush of everyday life.
One of my favorite spots here is the Grade II listed ceremony barn – it’s over 200 years old and filled with character. The combination of original oak beams, vaulted ceilings, and exposed brick windows creates the perfect setting for capturing those emotional moments as couples exchange vows. The light in this barn is beautiful, and with space for up to 130 guests, it feels cozy without being cramped.
The Grain Shed is a great reception space too – modern yet still in keeping with the farm’s rustic vibe. The courtyard, with its festoon lights overhead, is ideal for capturing relaxed shots of guests enjoying drinks as the sun sets. The space flows really well, making it easy to capture candid moments without missing a beat.
What’s also brilliant about Lodge Farm is the on-site accommodation, including a bridal suite that’s perfect for those getting ready shots in the morning. The whole place feels very personal, and the flexibility of both the indoor and outdoor spaces makes it a dream to shoot at, no matter the weather or size of the wedding.

“We fell in love with the grade II listed barn.”
With on site accommodation and access the day before, Lodge Farm Weddings is a brilliant place to get married. It really does have that homely, family run feel. Ellie & Rob were drawn to it as soon as they saw the beautiful barn ceremony space. A relaxed morning was followed by a ceremony full of smiles and laughs. The guests basked in the glorious Yorkshire sunshine, as drinks flowed. The best time for photos though, is always to escape that midday soon, and so, during those later hours when the sun is lower in the sky – that’s the moment to strike and make most of the backdrop at Lodge Farm Weddings.
